o Instruments for general planning and development, urban rules and regulations.
o Urbanisation Projects and Ordinary Works Projects.
o Urban Agreements.
o Protection of urban legality, inspection and sanctions.
o Municipal authorizations and permits for works, uses and activities in all types of locations, first use licences and certificates of conformity with building standards.
o Provisional authorizations, of works and uses.
o Public Works.
o Promotion of subsidised housing.
o Housing Rehabilitation.
o Intervention in and maintenance of municipal heritage.
o Paving and conservation of public and rural roads.
o Traffic regulation.

o Sport facilities.
o Promotion of sport and sport events.

o Municipal participation in traditional holidays and religious events.

o Creation and improvement of welfare centres (residences, pensioner centres, workshops, day centres for older people, open centres and dining halls).
